Karaoke is a single ply yarn made from a blend of wool and Soy Silk™, a proprietory viscose fibre made from the byproduct of soybean farming. That byproduct, a liquid called okara, contains protein fibres which are dried and then spun into a fibre. Like all viscoses, it drapes beautifully, and is easy to wear in warmer weather. Here, mixed with wool, it makes the yarn a great transitional weather option -- think shrugs or cardigans for chilly spring evenings, or hats for fall afternoons which don't yet require winter-level protection from cold. It is satisfyingly soft and fuzzy, too!
